8:30 AM - 9:20 AM Common Errors and Innovations with Drywell Calibrators Dallen Baugh -- Additel Corporation
Dallen will discuss common errors that users may not be aware of when using Drywell Calibrators. He will discuss when you need to use an external reference thermometer and when you might not need to. He will also show new innovations in Drywell manufacturing to improve productivity and throughput. This will be an open discussion where you can ask all the questions you would like.

9:30 AM --10:20 AM Reviewing Supplier Provided Calibration Certificates James Smith -- The Boeing Co.
In this discussion we will address the topic of supplier provided Calibration certificates and note actions to develop hands-on exercises focused on the process from submittal through acceptance of a Calibration service request. The emphasis is for an outside service provider event. Discussion to cover requirements, methods, variables and perspectives as they relate to submittal and review analysis of certificates of calibration when based on ISO17025:2017 but with respect to other standards or methodologies (e.g. ASTM calibration methods). The attendees will discuss future work-shops where participation in small teams reviewing examples & determining compliance to RFS (Request for Service). Other topics such as: instruction discipline, “red flag” entries, inconsistencies and missing data will be covered. The intention is to support realistic efforts within our community to train less experienced persons who have been assigned the review/acceptance tasks.

10:30 AM -- 11:20 AM Development and Qualification of a Primary Standard Tensiometer Calibration System Mike Tovey -- Tovey Engineering
Tensiometers are transducers used to measure cable tension in wire rope cables. A major application of these devices is to measure and adjust cable tension in wire rope cables used to operate aircraft control surfaces, ailerons, rudder and horizontal stabilizers. These transducers require periodic calibrations. This presentation describes the development and qualification of a primary standard tensiometer calibration system.
