Accurate Measurements of Dynamic Force

Many force measurements are dynamic in nature but the calibration methods used are commonly static, which can lead to large errors. This webinar will discuss when force measurements must be treated dynamically, and measures that can be taken to avoid having to do so. Methods that have been used to improve accuracy of dynamic measurements will be discussed, including dynamic calibration.The webinar will not cover uncertainty evaluation for dynamic measurements.

Ako Chijioke
Project Leader for Dynamic Mechanical Metrology at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where he has worked on dynamic force metrology since 2012.  Prior to this, he worked as a research scientist at NIST and at Heinrich Heine University, Germany. He received his PhD in 2006, in the area of experimental solid-state physics.
