Title: Reports of the Measurement Comparisons on the Analog Modulation
Topic Group: Electrical II
E-mail: brian-ys.lee@anritsu.com
Co-Authors:
Abstract: A measuring receiver such as HP 8902 with capabilities of both modulating and de-modulating signals is a common tool for calibrating the modulation specification of microwave synthesizers. A test set with credible measurement uncertainty and traceability was used as a traveling artifact for comparisons in receiver measurements among several Anritsu calibration laboratories.

This report will describe the standard measurement setup, measuring range, and measurement results from this project. A normalized error (EN) ratio based on the ISO standards is used as the gauging metric.
