The Josephson voltage standard (JVS) constitutes an intrinsic standard. It produces the SI dc-volt representation based on the internationally agreed upon value of 483 597.9 GHz/V for the Josephson constant. The range of the Josephson -array chip rated at 1 V is ±150 µV to typically ±3 V. The range of the Josephson-array chip rated at 10 V is ±150 µ V to typically ±12 V. The accuracy of the Josephson-array voltage standard depends principally on the quality of the peripheral equipment, the averaging time of the measurement, and skill of the operator.

Picture of the productRISP-3: Quantized Hall Resistance (1997)
Quantum Hall effect (QHE) characteristics were first observed in high quality silicon MOSFETs (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors) by Klaus von Klitzing while he was working at the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Grenoble, Switzerland in 1980. Subsequently, precision measurements were made by von Klitzing in collaboration with the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt in Germany and separately by workers at several other national laboratories. The results of these experiments helped to determine that the QHE could be used as the basis of an international resistance standard.
This document provides information on technical procedures to prospective and current users of the Quantized Hall Resistance (QHR) standard. The intended use of this document is to support dc resistance calibration activity with a level of technical detail appropriate for high-level commercial calibrations.

This document addresses the need for a consolidated guide to practices in using Deadweight Pressure Gauges (DPGs). It provides information about the basic equipment function, application and common methods of operation so that the propagation of errors can be more widely understood. It also presents brief descriptions of the pertinent factors used to estimate the total uncertainty when using a DPG to perform a measurement (of either pressure or effective area) in accordance with the methods described in the scope of this document. This guide will be useful to calibration laboratory technicians, managers, engineers, scientists and anyone else interested in obtaining reliable estimates of the uncertainty in measurement results when using DPGs, or interpreting the estimates provided by others using the methods prescribed in this document.

This document describes a family of humidity generators that are commonly referred to as two pressure; two temperature; or combined two pressure, two temperature systems. The humidity generators described are not limited to generation of relative humidity, but are capable of generating in a variety of industry acceptable humidity parameters, such as mixing ratio, dew point temperature, frost point temperature, vapor pressure, absolute humidity, and specific humidity. All humidity values expressed are interrelated by defined mathematical functions involving the relationship between the partial pressure of the water vapor and the partial pressure of the remaining gas constituents.
