Fundamentals of Ultrasonic Flowmeters Training Course
This class is designed to build a basic understanding of ultrasonic based measurement. AGA 9 will be introduced to the students and followed closely throughout the course. Several functional meters from different vendors will be available to highlight topics covered in the formal lecture lectures. In addition, students can familiarize themselves with the user interface software in an academic setting.
The class is combination of formal lectures and open discussions on student topics of choice.

2013 Ultrasonic Meter User’s Workshop (Colorado, USA)
This annual event brings together a wealth of information as well as new ideas and new questions regarding flow measurement using ultrasonic meters. Ultrasonic manufacturers are making significant improvements to their meters at a rapid pace. The shear gas volume in the market today and the number of dollars flowing through gas pipelines demands the highest accuracy possible in metering stations. As the metering uncertainty envelope tightens, original assumptions are questioned and standards are re-examined establishing the need for new test data. The Ultrasonic User's Workshop is a one of a kind event that caters to the ultrasonic user. This event allows for open discussion on ultrasonic metering from a user’s standpoint. Today’s challenges and successes, as well as "lessons learned" in ultrasonic metering are part of the discussion.

The International Congress on Electrical Metrology -SEMETRO
The International Congress on Electrical Metrology -SEMETRO- is devoted to topics related to electromagnetic measurements. This conference covers high accuracy and industrial measurements in the frequency range from DC to the optical region. The main types of organizations which will participate in the X SEMETRO are national metrology institutes, industrial organizations which manufacture electrical standards and measuring instruments, industrial and government standards laboratories and universities which conduct research on precision measurements, standards and related fundamental constants. The X SEMETRO will be the first to be held outside Brazil, in Buenos Aires – Argentina – September 2013, thus confirming the international character of SEMETRO. It will be organized by the Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Industrial (INTI) of Argentina and the Instituto Nacional de Metrologia, Normalização e Qualidade Industrial (INMETRO) of Brazil.
