NCSL International measure
The Journal of Measurement Science

Technical Contributions

Any of the following contributions may be submitted to NCSLI measure for potential publication. Please note that some sections (such as New Products/Services) are restricted to NCSLI Member Organizations only.

1. Technical Article: The content of technical articles published in measure must be of interest to the NCSLI membership. This includes technical or management issues related to the operation of calibration laboratories, such as calibration procedures or techniques, uncertainty of measurement, laboratory accreditation and quality systems, or new or updated metrology standards. In addition, background or review articles in these areas are also appreciated. For more information, please see the section, AUTHOR MANUSCRIPT INSTRUCTIONS, or feel free to discuss your potential contribution with the Managing Editor.

2. New Product or Service: NCSLI Member Organizations may submit a new product or service for publication in measure free of charge. For more information on the requirements, format, and publication deadlines, please see the section titled: NEW PRODUCT/SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

3. Tech Tips: A section of measure will be reserved for special measurement or calibration techniques. These items will be short, concise notes that deal with a specific measurement or calibration procedure, measurement techniques, data analysis process, maintenance detail, etc. that is of interest to calibration laboratories. Submission of these special techniques should follow the same format as technical articles, but should be only 1-3 pages of final journal format (a maximum of 1500 words).

4. Letter to the Editor: Letters expressing opinions or comments on measurement, calibration or other metrology issues, as well as on material published in measure, are welcome. Preference is given to letters that are fresh, brief, clear and that don't require factual verification. Letters must be signed by the writer and include the writer's affiliation, work or home address, email address, and daytime telephone number. If a letter is selected for publication, the writer's name and affiliation will be included at the end of the letter. Letters related to an upcoming event or date should be mailed well in advance. All letters and opinion articles are edited.
